Sun rise, set and climate in the world's capital cities
Use the drop down menus to select and change countries.
Approximate sun rise and set times are shown in local time zone
times. Zones East of Greenwich are ahead of Greenwich
Mean Time (GMT); locations West of Greenwich are behind GMT.
Times are shown without reference to local daylight saving schemes
as these vary too much.
Many countries in the northern hemisphere commence
a local summer time in the spring (March) which means they add (usually) one hour
to the local time zone time. This scheme finishes in the autumn (October).
Many countries in the southern hemisphere do the same thing but start
in October and finish in March. Usually the March and October dates are the last Sunday in the month.
